This ought to take a while.
The numbers 14, 16 and 38 need to be assigned to one of the following:
A: 0, 6, 8, 9, 3
B: 5, 13, 2, 10, 16
C: 7, 1, 47, 11, 17
Which set (A, B or C) do the above numbers belong to?
Good luck!
A: 0, 6, 8, 9, 3
B: 5, 13, 2, 10, 16
C: 7, 1, 47, 11, 17
Which set (A, B or C) do the above numbers belong to?
Good luck!

Re: Pub Quiz
I'll drop a hint if anyone has been trying to solve this.

OK, then.
This is not a math problem. It IS a pattern recognition problem, though.
BTW, I tried as well and could not figure it out.

OK. Each of the three numbers (14, 16 and 38) belong to one of the groups (A, B and C).
Since this is not a math problem but a pattern recognition problem, the numbers in group A for instance, are not a series. And yet 14 belongs to A, B or C for some reason. Maybe that hint will help.

I think....
38 belongs to group A
16 to group B
14 to group C
...or maybe not!

You are correct!

Group A's numbers are all curved. Group C's are all straight lines. Group B is a mix of both.
Your turn, dormouse.

That wasn't maths, though, just shapes. Here's a puzzle
Polmumice
(Find the familiar word, phrase or saying this represents!)

Re: Pub Quiz
dormouse, I figured out the answer before my first post and was yanking your chain. I'm interested in seeing Chopsta123's answer.
Um,
mommy
in a police sandwich
baked goods
... homemade donuts?

You're not the only one....
... can you hear my chains rattling?
Chopsta - I'm pretty sure Delrond has one of these (the answer, which isn't homemade donuts) and I don't think you do...
Delrond - how about giving us the answer?
